Dr. LeDonna Griffin

Founder, Leaders to Legends
Nebraska

Dr. LeDonna Griffin, a native to Omaha, Nebraska, a first-generation college graduate and the first in her family to earn a doctoral degree. Her journey was shaped by her father, who raised five children after the loss of their mother, building both a business and a home grounded in love, resilience, and education. His example inspired her lifelong commitment to learning and leadership.

With over 30 years in education as a teacher and principal, Dr. Griffin witnessed the impact of exclusionary discipline on marginalized students. In response, she implemented a no-suspension approach, transforming her school into a supportive, purpose-driven environment where students thrived. This work led to the creation of Leaders to Legends, (2018) now a parent-directed, self-sustaining educational community. She looks forward to continuing to partner with churches nationwide to help families thrive through education. Guided by faith, Dr. Griffin believes education empowers transformation, where hope replaces despair and the impossible becomes possible.

As a McLeod Society Fellowship alumna, Dr. Griffin reflects the Fellowship’s belief in the power of transformative leadership to create educational environments where children are valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
